All students are enrolled for the entire year extending from September 13 through May 14. The year ends with our annual student performance held at Lynn City Hall. All students are expected upon registration to attend the entire year including our performance. There are no partial enrollments. Students are responsible to attend all classes. Class tuition must be paid for whether or not attended. No discounts or allowances will be made for vacations or other reasons.  Comparable make-up classes are available. Those students whose tuition is more than two months behind will be asked not participate in class. Please do not fall behind in tuition payments.

Ages 3-7

Students at this age and level are offered a 1 hour combination tap and ballet class.  Students learn basic class structure as well as rudimentary dance movements while enjoying an environment designed for their age level of comprehension. Students in this program wear a leotard and tights of any style or color, white tap shoes and pink ballet slippers. Students this age may wear a dance skirt with their leotard but please keep in mind that the child may be asked to remove their skirt if it is causing a distraction from their dance instruction. Hair should be pulled back for all classes. Class size can range from 10-16 students. Students this age perform 2 routines in the show with the purchase of one costume required.

Ages 7-11

In addition to the required ballet class, students are now offered tap, and jazz as well, each meeting for 30 minutes. Most of our students are enrolled for the entire 90 minutes, however only 1 complete hour including ballet is required. Students now learn the basics of technique, placement and musicality while a continued positive atmosphere is encouraged. Students in this program wear a leotard and tights of any style or color, tan tap shoes and pink ballet slippers. Hair should be pulled back for all classes. Class size can range from 10-20 students. Students this age perform 3 routines in the show with the purchase of two costumes required.

Ages 11 and Over

To insure the proper progression of technique classes are extended to two days, concentrating on a full hour of advanced beginner ballet training. Advanced beginner jazz and tap technique is also added, with emphasis upon the artistry and simple enjoyment of dance. Students now learn the true dance art form while great emphasis is placed upon the child’s enjoyment of they’re accomplishments, both individual and group.   Form fitting jazz pants with a leotard and tights may be worn for tap and jazz classes.  Ballet students are required to wear a leotard with  pink tights.  No Ballet skirts are allowed…..leotard and tights only, this is strictly enforced. The students will wear a different shoe for each discipline, which will be determined mid year. Students should wear the previous years shoes until that time. Class size can range from 10-25 students. Students this age will perform three routines in the show with the purchase of three costumes required. 

Acrobatics Program Ages 5 and Over

Students are offered an acrobatics class consisting of a mix of dance and floor acrobatics. These classes may be taken alone or in combination with our dance programs.   Students learn class structure and technique as well as gain great strength and flexibility. Although this class may be taken by itself it is also an excellent compliment to any dance program. Students in this program wear a leotard and footless tights of any style or color. Students in the acro program will not wear shoes and will be barefoot for better traction. Students in this program will perform one routine in the show with the purchase of one costume required.
